Sculptra® Aesthetic is an FDA-approved injectable made of Poly-L-Lactic Acid, the synthetic form of lactic acid, which the body produces naturally. Unlike hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, Sculptra® Aesthetic helps stimulate your skin’s own natural collagen production to help restore its inner structure and increase facial volume that has been lost to aging.
Sculptra is intended for use in people with healthy immune systems. The treatment regimen consists of up to four injection sessions that are scheduled about four to six weeks apart. While Sculptra is most commonly injected for facial volume, it can also be injected in body areas such as the neck, chest, arms, and thighs. Sculptra can also be injected into the buttocks and hips to achieve a non-surgical BBL (Brazilian butt lift). The product is strategically injected into the buttocks to gradually create collagen, yielding a natural, fuller and rounder appearance. Results can last 2-3 years.
